Expressions after Vilppu

More work from NMA, more Vilppu. Expressions, this time.
The ones on the right are from a model, about 30-45 seconds each. The best way I can explain it is to capture the expression quick and loose, almost like the gesture of the face. You can always go back and refine it later.

Fencing gesture study

I've been looking at some Disney art, and I love how the animators capture flow and motion by exaggerating the gesture. Decided to give it a shot by using some fencing poses as reference.
I think I need to exaggerate a bit more. What do you guys think?

Taking some of Scott Eaton's advice, instead of trying to do the full figure in the allotted time, I instead picked parts of the model to try and capture.

Out of all the SMT games, Nocturne is definitely my favorite. :)
Since the game takes place in Japan, I thought I'd make the character Japanese, but I think he came out more Filipino
